Fiesta Patronal del Niñopa

One of the most profound community and religious traditions in central Mexico. Each February, thousands of residents gather in the historic center of Xochimilco for the ceremonial transfer of the revered 16th-century wooden sculpture of El Niñopa to a new host family, accompanied by vibrant chinelos dances and multi-course feasts.
